How To Wear A Crop Top

How To Wear A Crop Top

With a High Waist Bottom. A high waist bottom minimizes the amount of skin shown and can provide a level of comfort for those trying a crop top for the first time. The location of the waistline is key to creating a flattering look. By wearing a bottom that starts right at your natural waistline, emphasis is brought to the smallest part of your waist. To camouflage a tummy or create an hourglass look, opt for a skirt with volume (such as an a-line cut or a skater skirt such as the center look above) or even a wide-legged or trouser style pant.

Play with Proportions. A loose, flowy top paired with a fitted skirt allows you to achieve the look of a cropped top without actually showing your midsection. In the example above (left), the crop top paired with the high waist pencil skirt and a sickening heel creates the illusion of legs for days because to the eye, everything below where the blouse stops is all leg!

Fake a Dress.  A dress is an easy piece to wear and every woman has a style that is the most flattering for them. By using separates to achieve the look of a dress (above right), you not only get a more custom fit, but also have the freedom to adjust the hem of your top to show as much (or as little!) skin as you want.

  2. I definitely like a crop top with a higher waist since I don't want to expose too much midriff. Love your looks!
