Shoe Lust

I may have an addiction...

It seems I can't go more than a month without getting a new pair of shoes. I always get a good deal and I try to get shoes that I will actually wear (instead of having them sit in the black of my closet)  but no matter how I rationalize it, I got it bad y'all...I love shoes!

I was itching to get some new shoes this week so I started browsing my favorite shoe websites (Endless, DSW, Aldo, 6pm)  and Shopstyle to comparison shop for best prices.  I narrowed down to a few pairs that I liked and here are some of the hottest (and pretty affordable) styles:
Aldo- Bracker

Steve Madden- P-Rada

Madden Girl- Wisperr

Aldo- Mendosa
After some thought and some input from my fiance,  I settled on these bad boys:
Seychelles- Good Ole Days
They have a comfortable 3" heel, I love the colors, are so ladi-like, and just so "Me"! Thank God for free 2-day shipping so I will be able to wear them this weekend!

BFSC: Wear Something Strapless

I'm back from the beach with another BFSC look! I should have worn more strapless clothing last week to avoid tan lines but oh well, I have the rest of the summer to get the perfect bronze look :)

Dress: Gap (old) / Necklace: Target / Sandals: MIA (purchased from Marshalls) / Purse: Nine West

Big Fat Summer Challenge: Something Sleeveless

This is my first look from the Big Fat Summer Challenge.  I have no problem showing my arms so this was one of the easier challenges. I wore this out to lunch with my fiancĂ© over the weekend. It was super hot out but this cute little skirt kept me cool.
Tank: Old Navy / Skirt: Banana Republic / Belt: Belks (came with a dress) / Sandals: Nine West / Wristlet: Target / Bracelet: World Market
Side Note: I need to go accessory shopping.  I sometimes shy away from necklaces because my neck breaks out easily with some cheaper materials and  because I usually opt for big earrings and don't want a necklace to compete with them. But, now that I have this new hair my ears are completely covered so I need some necklaces to add the drama around my face.  I also want a headpiece like the ones featured here.

*Just as a reminder, here are the rules for the challenge:

I Joined the Big Fat Summer Challenge!

I've decided to join the Big Fat Summer Challenge created by Jennifer of  Jasifers Lions Club blog.  Between now and July 31st, participants have to create looks featuring summer trends and showing a little skin ;) Here are the rules:

I have to admit some of the challenges make me a little nervous (particularly the cropped top and the 2-piece bikini) but I'm going to try to push myself out of my comfort zone...after all,  I did just conquer my feelings about wearing shorts! LOL!

If you're up to the challenge, it's not too late to get in on the action! Head over to Jasifers Lions Club and start putting your looks together!

What looks will you be wearing this summer? Do you mind showing a little skin? Let me know in the comments!

What do you get when you combine craft projects with competition? Craft Wars!

Last night I saw a commercial for a new television show where crafters and DIY enthusiasts compete in a series of challenges to test their creativity and crafting know-how.

I am super excited! Right now I'm planning a wedding and buying my first home so I could use some good craft ideas!

The show premieres June 26th on TLC.  Will you be tuning in? (I know I will! LOL)

Act Like A Ladi...Dress Like A Diva: Shorts

Something big happened this past weekend...
For the first time since maybe 9th grade, I wore a pair of shorts! I did quite a bit of shopping over Memorial Day Weekend and for some reason I kept gravitating towards shorts--and ended up buying 3 pair! This particular pair came from the Banana Republic outlet store and because I was showing my legs, I paired the khaki shorts with an oversized coral blouse.  I wore flats during the day, and once the sun went down I switched into my heels shown here for a dinner date with my fiance (I didn't snap any pics before dinner).

Top: JC Penney / Shorts: Banana Republic Outlet / Sandals: Nine West / Watch: Old / Bracelets: Jones New York (purchased from Macy's) / Clutch: Asos, similar here and here
*Special thanks to Rolanda at the amazing blog Simply Her Living.  I recently won this envelope clutch in one of her blog giveaways and I can already tell it is about to become one of my favorite items!
